Hello World

Hello World.
I've decided to attempt to reenter the online realm of wonder known as the blogosphere.  (Yes, you get +2 if you understood my first line.)  As these things happen though, I've chosen to include an additional drain on my time when I'm at my very busiest so this may be boring for a bit.  Although I'll leave the first line a mystery for you non-engineering types, I should perhaps explain what I've titled my blog.  Or at least, give you a teaser since I gave myself a deadline to have a certain amount of my thesis drafted by noon.  It's a reference to a fellow named Luria in the 16th century.  Ironic perhaps, since he's wildly spiritual in contrast to my hero Maimonides.  More to come on both of them later.  For now, I leave you with a puzzle from my little brother: how do you connect 9 dots, arranged equidistantly to form a 3x3 square, using only 4 lines?
